About the Artist

Born in 1979, I grew up in a small town, just outside Fort Worth. I was raised by two of the greatest, hard working and inspirational parents a girl could ask for. Creativity and imagination fueled my youth, as early as the age of five. I can remember building, creating and constructing some type of fairy tale world for which I could find solace. I found friends between the pages of books, inspiration in music and comfort from animals (most of which were stuffed). Those friendships emerged into my world of creative writing, which gave me escape from some very long, hard and tumultuous years. I published a children’s book titled, “My name is Guenavere, and I talk through my eyes”. Between writing, pursuing fine art and self taught classes held between diapers, cooking dinner, laundry and a head full of rollers (actually there weren’t rollers) but either way, it was a long journey to find the skill level I thought was acceptable, along with subject matter that moved me enough that it could tell a vivid story without words. All my paintings, are pieces of me. They are exceptionally personal, containing tiny morsels of hidden secrets I have attained in this life. I still hold tightly to my fairytales and I strongly believe that one day the images in my head will morph into a living, breathing, reality.

Proudly, I’m a Mother of of three daughters who will always be my greatest accomplishment. If not for them, I could have never have known the art of why it’s important to be nice to your mother. And, last but not least, I am madly, deeply and insanely in love with my twin flame. Although, it took 20 years of being apart, searching endlessly, we finally found each other again. Because of him, I finally have the balance I have always needed.

Almost last, I’m a dog mom to a gaggle of Jack Russell terriors, and I pretend I am a witch, except that I not pretending. People never believe the truth.
